Baan Haad Rin is located on the southeast coast of Koh Phangan. It is best known for being the site of the Full Moon Party, which is held on the night of, or close to, every full Moon. The party takes place on Haad Rin Nok (Sunrise Beach), a crescent-shaped beach that faces east, making it the perfect spot to watch the sunrise.

The Full Moon Party was started in 1985 by a group of backpackers looking for a party that would last all night long. Since then, it has grown into a massive event that attracts tens of thousands of people worldwide. If you’re planning on attending the Full Moon Party, be prepared for a night of non-stop dancing, drinking, and debauchery.

During the day, Baan Haad Rin is a sleepy little beach town. Most of the action takes place at the many bars, restaurants, and cafes that line the beach. There are also a few shops selling beachwear, souvenirs, and other necessities. If you’re looking to escape the party scene, you can head to one of the many secluded beaches that can be found around the island.

Koh Phangan is located in the Gulf of Thailand, about halfway between Koh Samui and Koh Tao. It is an island of contrasts, with secluded beaches and lush jungle on one side and bustling beach towns on the other.
