The Pineta di Maria Pia is a protected nature reserve that stretches for 12 kilometers along the northwest coast of Sardinia. The reserve is home to various ecosystems, including Mediterranean pine forests, golden sandy beaches, and dramatic rocky cliffs.
The reserve is a haven for wildlife, with over 200 species of bird, 50 species of mammal, and 20 species of reptile and amphibian.
