Jimbaran Beach Vacation & Travel Guide

As one of Bali’s most famous beaches, Jimbaran Bay is known for its stunning white-sand beaches and clear blue waters. The beach is situated on the island's southern coast, just a short drive from the Ngurah Rai International Airport. Jimbaran Bay is an excellent spot for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying the incredible views.

One of the main attractions of Jimbaran Bay is the seafood. The beach is known for its seafood restaurants, which offer fresh seafood that has been caught that day. The restaurants cook the seafood in various ways, so there is something for everyone to enjoy.

In addition to the seafood, Jimbaran Bay is also home to several luxury hotels. These hotels offer stunning views of the beach and the surrounding area. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the incredible scenery, Jimbaran Bay is the perfect spot.

There are usually quite a few people on the Jimbaran Beach from September to May.

Jimbaran Beach Weather

Bali has two seasons: dry from March to November and “wet” from December to February. Better to go to Jimbaran, of course, the first, although there will be more people. During the rainy season, the coast is often empty, and there is not always rainfall. In the photo you see the beach in mid-December – there are clouds, but they are rather useful since they do not allow the sun to strongly heat the air and sand, make it hot. And as you can see – one or two people have missed it, and this despite the fact that it is 11 in the morning.

Air and water temperature

The air temperature at Jimbaran Beach allows sunbathing all year round.

There may be some who find the water at Jimbaran Beach too warm.

Average Monthly Rainy Days

From December to March Jimbaran Beach has rainy season. This is something to keep in mind when planning your trip since it is quite possible that you may be unable to sunbathe.

How to get to the Jimbaran

Jimbaran Beach is located a few kilometers from Denpasar Airport (or rather, it starts right from it, but you have to take a detour), you can only get there by taxi. Their counter is in the arrivals area. The journey costs from 100,000 rupees (to the southernmost part, where the Four Season Resort is located – 120,000).

To reach Jimbaran Beach from Denpasar, you can take a bus or drive along the main highway. The bus journey takes around 1 hour, and the drive takes approximately 30-45 minutes.

Hotels near Jimbaran

There are not as many hotels on Jimbaran as on other beaches. On the first line, there are only a few expensive ones, including the Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay. For budget accommodation, you need to move away from the beach and go deeper into the town. There are a number of guesthouses where you can stay for $ 10-15.

There are many villas for rent available in Jimbaran. It’s very popular here. We can recommend, for example, the following: The Villas at AYANA Resort, Kayumanis Jimbaran Private Villas & Spa.
