Kuta Beach Vacation & Travel Guide

Kuta is a resort in the southwest of Bali island in Indonesia, located a few kilometers north of Denpasar International Airport. It is the most popular among tourists, including domestic beach lovers. And at the same time – the biggest disappointment, especially for couples with children. And all because it is not intended for bathing. This is the place for surfers!

Kuta Beach Weather

The climate of Kuta, like the rest of Bali, is tropical, since the entire island is located south of the equator, the rainy season is here from December to March. Not like the rest of Southeast Asia from June to October. Temperatures practically do not change during the year and are + 28 … + 35 degrees. 5-7 degrees cooler at night. The water is always warm, its temperature is + 27 … + 29. In the rainy season, the humidity is quite high at elevated temperatures, but on the beach, it is tolerated quite easily due to the wind.

The best time to travel to Bali is during the dry season from April to November. The coolest time is in summer, and during this period precipitation is practically excluded, so it is ideal for relaxation. If you arrive from December to March, it will rain several times a week. They often happen in the afternoon, after 4 pm. And in the morning and after breakfast the sky is sunny.

How to get to the Kuta

The best way to get to Kuta is by taxi, which can be ordered at the booking desk in the arrivals area on the 1st floor at Denpasar International Airport. Prices are fixed. Since the beach is long, the fare ranges from Rs 100,000 to 150,000. You can also order a taxi to Kuta via the Internet.

And for God’s sake, don’t look for a bemo minibus. They are not there! The authors of the site, having read the information on the Internet that it is cheaper to get from Denpasar airport to Kuta beach by bemo, waited for them for half an hour and did not see a single car. Forget about them, otherwise, you will only waste time. Bemo can hardly be found in the popular resorts of Bali; they run more in the center and north of the island.

If you find a hotel near the airport, you can walk, although you have to go around, as it is fenced. If you are going to stay in the central part of the beach, then you should not even think about hiking, especially with suitcases and backpacks in the 30-degree heat. Walking more than an hour on foot is not worth it.

Hotels near Kuta

Accommodation in Kuta can be found for every budget – from cheap guesthouses with a fan and outdoor toilet, to luxurious villas with all conveniences. Do not believe the information that wherever you live, the noise of discos and music from bars will be heard one hundred percent. Yes, this is the most party place on the island, but not to the same extent that there is a disco on every corner.

When choosing a hotel in Kuta, make sure that it does not stand directly on a large street where there are many cars. But in the alley, please – there is no transport in the evenings and at night.

If you want to save on accommodation, you can always find accommodation for 100,000 -120,000 rupees (but in low season). Naturally, the room will be modest: bed, fan, and toilet with shower. Most of the inexpensive guesthouses are on Poppies Line 1 and 2.

We recommend booking a hotel in Kuta in advance, as prestigious accommodation is especially appreciated during the season. Cheap deals can often be found on-site, especially in the low season.
