How to get to the Kata

From Phuket Airport to Kata Beach can be reached by ground transportation.

There are several ways to get to Kata Beach. The easiest way is to take the bus. The last stop is Kata Noi Beach. You can get off here and walk to Kata Beach. The bus runs every 20-30 minutes. Some minibusses run from the city center to Kata Beach. The last minibus leaves at about 19:00.

By taxi

At the airport, you can take a taxi to your hotel at almost any time of the day. A taxi will cost 800 – 1000 baht per car and will take you without delay on the way to the disembarkation of other tourists directly to the hotel. This is the most expensive, but also the most comfortable and fastest way to get to Kata. If you are traveling with children, consider the taxi option.

By minibus

A small bus with a trip price of 180 – 200 baht per person will also take you to the hotel, but on the way he can stop at travel agencies, where they will ask you exactly where to go, offer excursions, in addition, the bus will spend time to disembark other tourists and to find their hotels. The method is pretty good, relatively fast.

By bus

From Phuket airport to Phuket city in the afternoon there is a regular bus, the fare is 95 baht. Then, from the Phuket bus station, you will get to Kata Beach by another bus that follows to Karon and Kata beaches for 25-40 baht. This is perhaps the longest way to get to Kata Beach, but it is also the cheapest and you can see more along the way than with other ways, including a little walk in Phuket Town, for example, walking to the Central Festival shopping center. You need to have at least a little idea of where you get off, buses make stops “on-demand”.
