If you're coming from another part of the island or driving yourself from Santo Domingo (the capital city), take Autopista Duarte until Santiago de los Caballeros (the second-largest city), where it connects with Autovía del Norte leading to Puerto Plata before turning onto Carretera Principal heading directly to Sosua. Those coming via cruise ship or private yacht charter can access the beach through nearby marinas, like Ocean World Marina Cofresi Yacht Club.

Sosua can be reached via Highway 5 or Camino Cinco along the northern coast of the Dominican Republic—a taxi ride to the city – is $ 25. Sometimes taxi drivers want to get $ 20 from each passenger, so contacting another driver is recommended.

It should be noted that the number of cars on duty at the airport consistently exceeds the demand. There is a tourist taxi, reliable but quite expensive.
