How to get to the Playa Dominicus
Due to its subtropical location – the climate in the Dominican Republic is warm and humid – rest in the resorts of Dominicus is well received even by young travelers.
Dominicus, like many of the Dominican beaches, is popular in any season. Summer is considered a rainy season in these places, and the high season lasts from mid-December to April. However, the resort area of La Romana, and especially Dominicus and Bayahibe, are statistically considered the driest region of the country. The rains are rare and short-lived here. So you can plan a vacation on this beach for any time of the year.
The air temperature is kept at the level of + 28º… 33º all year round. The hottest months are from June to October. The sea warms up more strongly in the winter months – up to + 29º. In spring, the water temperature can drop by 3º-4º.

From Punta Cana, Dominicus is 70 km away. You can rent a car – there is a small parking near the beach – or you can take a taxi. The journey will take about an hour.
The beach is closed to La Romana, but it is also more convenient to travel by car. Public transport can also be reached, but you will have to change trains at Bayahibe.
From the village of Bayahibe, you can walk along the coastline. This is an option for those who like walking: the distance from the village to the beach is about 5 km.
