Makronissos Kandi Beach is a beach in Ayia Napa, Cyprus. It is located in the Kandi Bay, and is surrounded by the Domes Nature Reserve. It was the first beach in Cyprus to be awarded the prestigious Blue Flag.

How to get to the Makronissos Kandi

You can get to the beach by bus No. 101 and 102. You need to warn the driver to stop at Makronisos Beach. From the stop, you will need to walk a little to the beach. The fare is: in the daytime (from 04:00 to 21:00) – 1.5 euros, at night (from 21:00 to 04:00) – 2.5 euros. Children under 6 years old travel for free.

You can relax in Ayia Napa all year round. The classic Mediterranean climate (subtropics) favors this. Winter in the city is warm, summer is hot, the off-season is short. Autumn comes in November, spring comes in February. The holiday season opens in April and lasts until November.

Whether there will be enough rain in winter to fill freshwater reservoirs is one of the main topics of conversation in Cyprus. There are no large rivers on the island, and small ones dry up in summer. Artificial reservoirs are filled with desalination plants, snow melting in the mountains, and precipitation. But vacationers in Ayia Napa are not affected by this climate feature. There is enough drinking water for tourists.
