Playa de Las Canteras is a beach in Seville, Spain and is popular with locals and tourists alike. It is a great location for swimming, as it is shallow for a long distance out from the shore.

Las Canteras is one of the most beautiful urban beaches in the country. The inhabitants of the island consider it a real gift. This is almost 4 kilometers of golden sand and water, fenced off by an underwater reef, which holds back the surf without isolating it from open waters. The boulevard, which stretches along the entire length of the beach, is replete with numerous terraces that invite you to spend time there. Sitting comfortably in one of the terraces, you can enjoy the views from there – on the right you can see El Confital at the foot of La Isleta, with ideal waves for surfing at any time of the year, on the left in the distance you can see the North coast, but on the contrary, above the horizon, each evening sunset fills everything around with iridescent colors, giving the twilight a rare and amazing serenity.

Pros:
Really nice, vibrant, and alive beach. A lot of activities to do in it and around it. Clean waters and two different kinds of sand, dark at the beginning, and white at the end. Walking through it from corner to corner is therapeutic.
Cons:
Obviously, the backdrop is a built up city, so come with the right expectations.

Weather:

The climatic conditions of Las Palmas are recognized as the most comfortable in the world. The city is dominated by a subtropical climate, but the geographical position of the island has slightly changed it. So, in summer, winds from northern Europe come here, which bring cool and fresh air and clouds coming from the mainland obscure the island’s territory from the scorching rays of the sun. Thanks to this, the climate here is very mild and pleasant. Rainfall is rare in Las Palmas. The average temperature in winter is around + 18 ° C and in summer + 25 ° C. The average water temperature ranges from +17 … + 23 ° C.
