Kleopatra Beach Vacation & Travel Guide

Kleopatra/Cleopatra (Turkish/English) Beach is the pearl of Alanya, the most picturesque part of the city, and a favorite vacation spot for everyone, young and old. The white sandy strip stretches from the western end of the peninsula mountain to the magnificent yachts in Alanya Marina.

Sandy beaches are a very atypical story for this Mediterranean region. According to legend, Mark Antony really wanted to impress Cleopatra. The sand was brought here from distant Egypt. They covered the coast and the seabed near the coast so that the entrance to the sea resembled the silk road. They say Cleopatra really liked the gift. And her name remained behind the beach.

Cleopatra is a special pride of the city: it has the international Blue Flag distinction for its cleanliness and environmental friendliness.

Winds and storms from time to time carry away the layers of sand, and then here, and their stones and flat stone slabs appear so characteristic of other beaches of Alanya. In anticipation of the new season, the layer is updated. The sand here is excellent. It’s almost a sandy powder. At any time of the year, you want to walk barefoot, drowning in its softness, to look at the endless sea, the approaching mountains, pines, and palms.

Also, this beach is one of the most popular in town. With its two-kilometer length, it is a favorite place for walking, jogging. There are volleyball courts on the beach, and the beach is one of the venues for the international annual volleyball tournament for teams of companies.

The beach is equipped with beach cafes and restaurants, and there are some of the most famous clubs in the city nearby.

Over the years, the beach has become a kind of symbol of Alanya. It is not uncommon for tourists to take pictures with the beach in the background.

A huge green area surrounds the beach with a park, a favorite place for locals and visitors to walk, run, and mingle.

There is a beach cafe, a restaurant, and a water park as part of the amenities.

One of the most beautiful parks in the city, “Parking lot of the Ministry of Defense,” has become a favorite place for walks and recreation of the residents and tourists visiting the city.

The park is located in the Alanya district, and this is one of the most popular places for city residents. The park has many attractions, such as a basketball court, a football field, a bowling alley, a children’s playground, an open-air pool, a restaurant, and a cafe.

The park is located on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea, a three-minute walk from Cleopatra Beach.

In the center of the park, there is a statue of Cleopatra. The main attraction in the park is a monument to the soldiers of the Soviet-Turkish War. The monument is located near the new hotel “Alanya Park.” The park is one of the venues for the international volleyball tournament for companies.
